Mutleys Plant Service Ltd has recently designed and built a 25 meter long reach excavator on a Case CX 800 chassis, which is now in service on the prestigious Thames Gateway project in Shellhaven, Essex.

The project is a joint venture between two major dredging and land reclamation companies, and has raised the artificial island from the bed of the river Thames, by sand dredging and rock placement.

The Island will eventually become home to a new container terminal.
